Park Laboratory

The Park Lab is seeking self-motivated individuals at the levels of undergraduate, graduate, clinical fellows, and postdoctoral researchers, with a strong interest in immunology and/or microbiology to investigate microbiome and cancer immunity. The main goal of the lab is to dissect the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which the gut microbiome regulates anti-tumor immunity in various contexts of cancer immunotherapy. We are particularly interested in how the long-range communication between the gut microbes and tumors is mediated, in terms of cellular trafficking and metabolites. Our research employs an interdisciplinary approach, combining cancer immunology and microbiome expertise. The postdoctoral fellow will develop a cutting-edge immunology research program using gnotobiotic approaches, next-generation sequencing, multi-parameter flow cytometry, microbial engineering, metabolomics, and innovative genetic engineering tools. The lab offers excellent training opportunities to support career development and advancement to the next career stage.
